Revealed at last, Hyundai’s second N rocket looks sharp, angry, and ready to go ballistic on Europe’s quickest.
The pocket rocket category was far from overflowing this year, and 2021 won’t exactly offer more options than the average hot-hatch fan could stomach having to choose from – but at least there’s now one more.
Revealed this past week, the i20 N is a proper full-bottle N offering – only the second, after the i30 versions (or third if you want to count body shapes in the mix).
It draws power from the same 1.6-litre turbo petrol that powers the ‘warm’ N Line versions of its bigger cousins, but with 150kW and 275Nm on tap, it is certainly competitive with the 147kW/290Nm 1.5-litre three-pot turbo petrol Fiesta ST and the 147kW/320Nm 2.0-litre turbo petrol Polo GTI.
Our man Joshua Dowling drive a prototype recently at Wakefield, which you can read about and watch right here – but you can also check out a full gallery below. Enjoy!
